The pillow has a more purpose-specific design and may not be as versatile as other pillows. The qualities that make it an excellent nursing pillow prevent it from being used for other functions. For example, it is not soft enough to serve as a comfortable backrest for mom and is a bit too structured to be used as a support pillow for infants. There is no lap belt on the Natural Curve, and some moms found it challenging to keep the pillow in the correct position without the belt.
